El taller de Hand Made Urbanismo en El Campo de Cebada en Madrid, España une al PEI de la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana de Bogotá con los vecinos más activistas del barrio de La Latina. Aquí se plantea la capacidad de interacción, intervención y producción del profesional, el ciudadano y el extranjero por medio del diálogo fabricado con el talento de las manos. Lo que se pretende es generar una fusión de saberes y empirismos provenientes de la experiencia directa de la construcción hecha a mano de los miembros de Zuloark, la apreciación residencial del habitante del barrio y el acercamiento ajeno y entusiasmado del estudiante extranjero.
Éste taller consiste en la rehabilitación del espacio público: The Rehab of Public Space, como es llamado por Zuloark. Aquí se recuperan elementos pertenecientes a El Campo de Cebada para restaurarlos y dotarlos de estructura y nuevas funciones.
El trabajo particular se centra en la rehabilitación de una de las graderías móviles de la plaza.
Se estudia y se concluye que la estructura está deteriorada, siendo esta la primera acción directa: el refuerzo estructural. Luego, se proponen, se diseñan y se construyen tres módulos móviles que completan el vacío entre la gradería existente y el suelo, formando un juego de formas donde un asiento puede cumplir su vez de mesa o muchas otras cosas que el usuario convierte en polivalente.
The workshop named Hand Made Urbanism in the Campo de Cebada in Madrid, Spain pulls together the PEI from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana of Bogotá with the most interested neighbours of La Latina. The ability of interaction, intervention and production coming from the professional, the citizen and the foreigner becomes the concept behind the dialogue produced by the talent of the bare hands. The idea is to generate a fusion of knowledge and empiric acts that come from the direct hand-made construction experience from the members of Zuloark,
the residential appreciation of the inhabitant of the neighbor and the external and enthusiastic approach of the foreign student.
The workshop consists on THE REHAB OF PUBLIC SPACE, as named by the members of Zuloark. Some of the elements that belong to El Campo de Cebada are recovered and restored in order for them to acquire new structure and functions.
The particular work centers on the rehabilitation of one of the free bleachers of the square. After studying it, it is concluded that the structure is completely damaged, which encourages the first direct action: the structural reinforcement. Afterwards, three modules are designed and built in order to complete the empty space between the higher part of the bleacher and the floor, forming a game between form where a chair is able to work as a table or as many other things the user is able to convert into a polyvalent object.
